Job summary

bp Malaysia invites penultimate and final year students to join its early careers internship in Kuala Lumpur. The program spans engineering disciplines with rotations, offering hands-on work on real projects under line manager guidance.

You'll learn platform engineering, scripting in Python/C#/Java, and cloud architectures in AWS/Azure, while developing collaboration and interpersonal skills within bp's global network.

Qualifications

• Preferably a STEM student with development exposure and a CGPA of 3.2 or above.
• Penultimate or final year students may apply.
• Solid grasp of development fundamentals in C#, Java, Python, TypeScript or Go.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and automation with Python or similar.
• Strong communication, fast learner, team player, and inclusive mindset.
• Candidates who can join on 5th April 2027 only will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Role will be part of the Engineering discipline during the early careers programme and rotation.
• Embedded within multi-disciplinary platform engineering teams and learn delivery approaches.
• Learn to build, maintain and automate scalable cloud platforms and workflows.
