Job summary

Plexus Corp. in Penang, Malaysia is seeking an engineer to contribute to engineering design services and product development across the Product Realization Process.

The role involves collaborating with customers and internal teams to deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective solutions while meeting project timelines and quality standards. A Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of related experience is preferred.

• Bachelor’s Degree required with 4 or more years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the ability to work independently in multiple phases for the Product Realization Process, without direction from mentors or functional management.
• Develops engineering/product concepts that are innovative, high-quality, cost-appropriate, and satisfy all stakeholder's needs and requirements through an established area of technical specialty and, where applicable, mentorship of others on the global discipline team.
• Demonstrates skill in the full product realization process, as it applies to their role & region
• Assists project management in the development of proposals to ensure accurate technical, staffing, budgetary, and schedule content.
• Demonstrates effective communications with customers regarding project technical subject matter.
• Responsible to exemplify Plexus Core Values and contribute to succession planning and employee development.

Key Job Accountabilities

• Demonstrates the ability to work independently in multiple phases for the Product Realization Process, without direction from mentors or functional management.
• Develops engineering/product concepts that are innovative, high-quality, cost-appropriate, and satisfy all stakeholder's (customer, manufacturing, material, agency, etc.) needs and requirements through an established area of technical specialty and, where applicable, mentorship of others on the global discipline team.
• Demonstrates skill in the full product realization process, as it applies to their role & region
• Assists project management in the development of proposals to ensure accurate technical, staffing, budgetary, and schedule content.
• Demonstrates effective communications (teleconference, email, and in-person) through interaction with customers (internal and external) regarding project technical subject matter.
• Responsible to exemplify and hold their team accountable to demonstrating the Plexus Core Values. Leader will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and ensuring their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential. (as applicable)
