Job description

The Function Lead will oversee digital advertising sales and account management operations for the Greater China Region (GCR). The role focuses on driving revenue growth, ensuring operational excellence, and leading high-performing sales teams. This includes strategic planning, execution, people leadership, stakeholder management, and performance reporting.

The leader will work closely with the client’s Sales Lead counterpart to develop and execute strategic and tactical sales plans, ensuring teams deliver on quarterly revenue targets and key KPIs. The role also requires strong analytical capabilities, process management, and deep understanding of the GCR export market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Co-develop and execute strategic and tactical sales plans for GCR.
  • Revenue Ownership: Ensure achievement of overall revenue and KPI targets through effective team management.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and coach multiple Sales Managers and Account Managers; act as a “manager of managers.”
  • Operational Excellence: Drive process efficiency, scalability, and business performance across the sales function.
  • Stakeholder Reporting: Provide regular data-driven performance updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Market Expertise: Maintain a strong understanding of the GCR export business and digital advertising ecosystem.
  • People Development: Build, motivate, and retain high-performing sales teams.
  • Insight & Optimization: Identify actionable insights and design improvement plans based on data.
  • Communication: Ensure clarity and alignment across teams for all sales initiatives.
Key Requirements
  • Experience:
  • 7+ years in digital media/online advertising or sales leadership.
  • 3+ years leading or growing sales/account management teams, preferably as a manager of managers.
  • Proven record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Experience with advertisers/agencies in the Greater China market.
  • Prior experience in a multinational digital marketing environment is a strong advantage.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation abilities.
  • Experienced in process management and scaling business functions.
  • Proficient in Salesforce and productivity tools (Office/G-Suite).
  • Other Requirements:
  • Native-level Mandarin proficiency (to support the GCR market).
