Job description

Description of the Role: Experienced DevOps engineer on GitHub, Jenkins, Nexus Repository, SonarQube and Prisma. Establish CI/CD pipeline for Java, React and Angular container based applications to Kubernetes clusters on AWS environments using Jenkins, HELM charts, Nexus Repo, SonarQube and Prisma Scanner. Strong hands-on Branching Strategies. Strong hands-on configuring and managing Istio service mesh for traffic routing, mTLS, ingress/egress policies, and observability integration. Strong hands-on HELM charts – able to design HELM chart for multiple microservices. Expertise in defining and creating Approval workflows for deployments to different AWS environments. Partner with the rest of engineering to improve stability, performance, and maintainability of systems and infrastructure. Drive and support devops needs for development initiatives. Other duties as deemed necessary for the job.

Preferred Candidate Profile: Ideal candidate must have proven credentials of delivering in world class engineering teams. With a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, engineering or equivalent discipline, he/she must have relevant experience fulfilling responsibilities of the position. Must be a confident self-starter with ability to collaborate and devise solutions. Relevant industry certifications are an added plus. Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks is required.

Core Competencies: Strongly Desired competencies:

4+ years overall experience.

Hands-on experience setting up CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.

Hands-on experience setting up HELM Charts.

Experience configuring and managing Istio service mesh for traffic routing, mTLS, ingress/egress policies, and observability integration.

Programming background with AWS CLI.

Experience creating pipelines to publish containers to AWS EKS platform.

Experience with build technologies like nuget, maven, SonarQube and all dependent plugins to build and test applications.

Source control system experience especially with GitHub.

Must have deployment to AWS environments experience using DevOps tools.

Experience with Agile best practices and methods such as Scrum, Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development.

Experience with Cloud technologies especially AWS.
