Job summary

Astro is hiring a Development Executive to read and evaluate scripts, assist in creating pitching decks, and help develop film/TV projects from concept through production. You will collaborate with Astro Shaw to shape creative direction and ensure the scripts align with our release slate and brand expectations.

In this role, you will participate in script development meetings, provide constructive notes, and support pre-production, production, and post-production activities, including

• To read and evaluate scripts, proposals and work samples from external and internal sources.
• To assist in creating and developing film/tv proposal decks and write-ups for pitches.

Responsibilities

• Read and evaluate scripts, proposals and work samples, compiling reviews and evaluations.
• Assist in creating and developing film/tv proposal decks with Astro Shaw Development Executives.
• Write and develop scripts for film/TV projects as assigned by the head of production/development.
• Review scripts and provide notes to ensure alignment with company goals; attend script development meetings.
• Review and advise on creative aspects during pre-production and production to ensure scripts translate to screen and align with requirements.
• Oversee pre-production and production stages, helping troubleshoot issues to meet schedules and release slate.
• Attend pre-production meetings and shoots when requested.
• Review draft edits during post-production and assist in coordinating notes with stakeholders; assist in marketing material ideas and trailers.
