Job Summary: This role is ideal for fresh graduates or junior engineers (1–2 years experience) who are passionate about structural and infrastructure design. You will assist the design team in preparing engineering drawings, calculations, reports, and coordinating with clients, authorities, and other consultants to ensure timely delivery of quality design outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of design calculations, engineering drawings, and technical reports for civil and structural works.
• Support senior engineers in designing structural elements such as beams, slabs, foundations, and retaining walls in accordance with relevant codes (e.g., BS, Eurocode, MS EN).
• Involve in infrastructure design such as drainage, earthworks, and road alignments.
• Draft basic design sketches and coordinate with CAD technicians.
• Attend internal design meetings, site visits, and project coordination discussions with clients, architects, and other consultants.
• Assist in checking contractor shop drawings and responding to RFIs when required.
• Ensure all design and documentation comply with relevant authorities’ submission requirements (e.g., JKR, DBKK, DID etc.).
• Learn to use structural analysis software.
• Prepare BQ quantities and material take-offs for design verification purposes.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Lead Engineer or Principal.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; up to 1–2 years working experience in C&S design is an advantage.
• Knowledge of engineering codes (BS, Eurocode, MS EN, etc.) and submission standards in Malaysia.
• Familiar with AutoCAD; knowledge in Civil 3D or BIM software is a plus.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
• Able to work under supervision and meet deadlines.
• A keen interest in developing a long‑term career in design consultancy.
