Job description
JOB SUMMARY
  • Support the monitoring and analysis of performance achievements across enterprise, and divisions to ensure alignment with organizational goals and mandates.
  • Assist in identifying performance drivers and conducting gap analysis to recommend improvements in line with KWSP’s strategic direction.
  • Contribute to the development of high-aspiration KPI targets, integrating strategies, initiatives, projects, and action plans that align with KWSP’s strategic plan.
  • Provide support in formulating long-term strategic plans and organizational goals, contributing to strategic planning efforts.
  • Analyze current and emerging trends, conduct scenario planning, and propose strategic initiatives to support the execution of the KWSP’s Strategic Plan.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement and advisory sessions to discuss KPI target setting and the development of short- and long-term strategic plans.
  • Serve as a reference point and subject matter resource in KPI target setting and strategic planning processes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
PRIMARY ROLE
1. KPI & Scorecard Development
  • Assist in developing scorecards and KPIs for the enterprise and divisions, ensuring alignment with KWSP’s strategic plan.
  • Coordinate the implementation of scorecards across departments and divisions.
  • Support the cascading of scorecard objectives to all levels of the organization.
  • Organize workshops to help teams understand and apply scorecard and KPI concepts effectively.
2. Performance Analysis
  • Establish and maintain a performance database for scorecard reporting and regular management updates.
  • Analyze current and historical performance trends across the organization to support strategic planning.
  • Identify gaps in KPI achievement and conduct detailed analysis to understand performance variances.
  • Benchmark KWSP’s performance against industry standards and consider national and global trends.
  • Research best practices and methodologies to ensure KPI targets are relevant and ambitious.
  • Provide input to ensure departmental strategies, initiatives, and targets align with enterprise goals and industry standards.
3. Advisory Support
  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis on corporate performance metrics to provide actionable insights for the development of KWSP’s Strategic Plan.
  • Collaborate in formulating strategic action plans and key performance drivers at corporate, divisional, and departmental levels to ensure achievement of established goals and objectives.
  • Engage with external organizations, including GLIC, to share best practices and ensure KWSP’s corporate performance management and scorecard development processes align with industry standards.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
  • Plan and coordinate engagement sessions with stakeholders to discuss strategic plans and KPI targets and gather feedback.
  • Organize communication programs to share strategic plans and KPIs with staff.
  • Facilitate discussions with external agencies and corporate bodies.
  • Support training and communication programs with Divisional Planners and BSC Leads to enhance understanding and application of the Balanced Scorecard framework.
SECONDARY ROLE
  • Support the development and execution of KWSP’s short- and long-term strategic plans.
  • Collaborate with departments to identify and develop strategic initiatives that support business goals.
  • Assist in building the strategic planning framework and preparing proposals for management.
  • Gather and analyze data to support the formulation of actionable business plans.
  • Coordinate strategic planning discussions, summarize findings, and present recommendations to management and the Board
  • Support departmental planning, budgeting, and administrative processes, including data management, risk tracking, and reporting.
  • Assist in maintaining documentation such as operational manuals, scorecards, and work plans.
  • Participate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions and continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by supervisors to support team objectives and organisational priorities.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in Economics, Business Management, Finance, Strategic Planning, Accounting or equivalent qualifications recognised by the Government from any local or overseas higher learning institutions
  • Minimum seven (7) years of working experience, with at least 3 years in one or more of the following areas - Scorecard/Balanced Scorecard (BSC) development, Strategic planning or corporate planning; Business transformation or management consulting and other related experience
  • Strong written and presentation skills both Bahasa Malaysia and English
  • Good data analytical skills would be an added advantage
  • Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Malaysian citizen.
  • Obtain a pass in Bahasa Melayu, including an oral test in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.
