Job summary

Asia Pacific International School in Malaysia seeks a Deputy Head of Primary to provide strategic and operational leadership for the International Primary School, ensuring high standards of teaching, wellbeing and student achievement. You will drive school improvement, curriculum development and professional learning as part of APIS leadership.

Reporting to the Head of International, you will foster collaboration, data-driven decisions and staff development while maintaining an unwavering focus

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status.
• Experience leading school improvement in an international context.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum, assessment and teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation of the Primary School.
• Lead the implementation and evaluation of the APIS Learning Improvement Plan.
• Drive improvements in teaching and learning through learning visits, coaching and dialogue.
• Lead professional learning and staff development programmes aligned to school priorities.
• Line manage Phase Leaders and build leadership capacity across the school.
• Use data to identify priorities and secure continuous improvement.
• Promote safeguarding, welfare and inclusive practices.
