A leading food company in Klang City is looking for a Demand and Supply Planning Manager. The successful candidate will manage demand forecasts, work with cross-functional teams, and optimize stock inventory to avoid out of stock situations. Candidates should have a degree in Business Studies or Supply Chain and at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the FMCG industry.

Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Demand and Supply Planning Manager

The role is responsible for managing demand forecast for both tactical and strategic time periods. Coordinate demand forecast process across regions to achieve accuracy at both tactical and strategic levels.

What are the Roles and Responsibilities?
  • Develop and lead demand planning process to ensure forecast and supply aligned to meet business needs.
  • Assist in executes the demand and supply matching activities, connecting planning and interlock with cross functional team – Marketing, Trade Marketing, Sales, Production Planning, Warehouse Logistic identifying issues and their impact to meet customer demand.
  • Optimize demand and supply process to maximize revenue and minimize inventory risk and material exposure during end of product life cycle planning (SKU rationalization, phase in phase out)
  • Monitor forecast accuracy to develop reliable demand forecast.
  • Analyze demand fluctuations and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Control and optimize stock inventory by balancing stock cover and minimize out of stock situation.
  • Monitor and control slow moving and excess stock that may lead to warehouse congestion and aging expiry to avoid write off risk.
  • Support new product or category planning to launch successfully.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and develops recommendations.
  • Provide support in other areas / ad hoc projects as and when required.
