Job description

Vuly is a global consumer brand designing and manufacturing premium outdoor play equipment with customers across Australia, the United States, Europe, and Asia. As we continue to expand our international footprint, we are establishing a new operations hub in Kuala Lumpur — and we are seeking a highly experienced Demand Planning Director to lead our global planning and inventory function.

This is a senior role suited for someone with deep expertise, strong structural thinking, and the capability to define, build, and refine world‑class planning processes. You will play a central role in shaping how Vuly measures and manages its supply chain performance, working closely with our internal software development team to ensure our custom‑built platform captures the right KPIs, workflows, and decision‑making logic.

The Opportunity

The Demand Planning Director will be responsible for the full design and execution of Vuly’s demand planning, forecasting, and inventory optimisation processes. You will oversee the global planning rhythm, implement clear KPI frameworks, and introduce structured, data‑driven decision‑making across the business.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience, maturity, and the ability to improve operational clarity. You will support the COO in building a reliable, transparent, and scalable supply chain that aligns production, demand, and strategic growth.

What You Will Do

Lead the development and continuous improvement of Vuly’s global demand planning framework.

Build and maintain accurate 12–18 month demand forecasts using data, trends, and market insights.

Establish clear KPIs for forecasting, inventory performance, stock turns, ageing inventory, and supply chain reliability.

Partner with Vuly’s internal software engineers to ensure our custom‑built planning system captures all key data, workflows, and reporting requirements.

Improve visibility and structure across the supply chain, enhancing decision‑making for multiple regions.

Align production and replenishment schedules with real demand patterns and seasonal cycles.

Build and lead a KL‑based planning team, setting standards for analytical discipline and accountability.

Manage cross‑functional planning rhythms, including the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

Prepare concise planning reports, insights, and recommendations for the COO, CFO, and leadership team.

Identify risks early and implement corrective actions to maintain stability and supply continuity.

About You

We are looking for a highly capable senior professional with the following background and qualities:

  • 10–15+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, S&OP, or inventory strategy.
  • Experience defining KPIs, process logic, and system requirements for custom‑built platforms or major ERP/forecasting systems.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting models, inventory optimisation, and supply chain structure.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement clear, structured planning processes.
  • Skilled in working with cross‑functional teams including software engineers, suppliers, and senior leadership.
  • Data‑driven thinker who values clarity, structure, and measurable performance.
  • Strong leadership ability with experience building high‑performance teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and a mature, collaborative working style.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment.
Great If You Also Have
  • Experience in consumer products, e‑commerce, or seasonal retail.
  • Background in working with ERP, inventory planning, or BI tools.
  • Experience supporting S&OP or IBP processes.
  • A practical mindset: you care about real outcomes, not just perfect models.
