Position Summary

The demand planner will drive the demand forecast by leveraging on analytics and Sales‘ insights, ensuring accurate publication of demand forecast in the planning system that meet the business‘ financial targets.

Responsibilities

Basic Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Demand Planning Process 90%:
  2. Generate Demand Fcst baseline based on historical trend and known insights
  3. Proactively review Demand Fcst compared with latest financial target and past months performance with Sales/Commercial
  4. Review SKUs with high forecast error from the past month and correct future forecast after review with Sales/Commercial
  5. Monthly reporting on Forecast Accuracy and follow up to investigate root causes of error
  6. Lead the S&OP meeting
  7. Weekly track & review sales progress vs forecast and vs Financial Target, review with Sales for abnormalities (signs of oversell/undersell)
  8. Project Long Term Forecast (month 12 – 24) based on latest trend
  9. Maintenance in SAP IBP to ensure correct forecast is maintained and flow to Source for supply planning
  10. Tracking of NPDs (New Product Introduction), ensuring timely upload of forecast to ensure supply availability based on launch timing
  1. Others:
  • Follow up with Commercial to help drive SLOB depletion
  • Collaborate with both Supply Planning and Sales/Commercial to expedite/de-expedite to minimize OOS and excess inventory
  • Collaborate with Marketing on matters related to NPDs (identifying and tracking of launch timing, phase in/out, impact of cannibalization)
  • Collaborate with Finance on yearly ABP projection and quarterly QF projection by providing insights related to demand trend and aligning latest Financial Plan with Demand Plan
