Job summary

Flex is seeking a Delivery Business Systems Analyst based in Prai, Penang, to analyze business problems and design automated system solutions. The role includes supporting IT development projects, administering information systems, and ensuring reliability to meet user needs.

Typical duties involve specifying improvements, supporting applications, writing specs for developers, and documenting data/workflow requirements.

Qualifications

• Functional knowledge, education background in Systems or industrial engineer, Computer science, programming, or related careers; or relevant working experience required.
• A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the manufacturing industry is preferable.
• Experience and general knowledge of computerized databases, supply chain management and process guidelines.
• Communication, analytical skills, problem solving, critical thinking, team player, proactive, adaptable and always ready to learn.
• Ability to successfully follow up closure and complete projects assigned.

Responsibilities

• Determine required improvements on the systems and supervise correct implementation to meet customer requirements.
• Support customers' applications and analyze new requirements.
• Supervise staff on method and procedure determinations for new assignments.
• Write functional and technical specifications for developers.
• Analyze and document system requirements for data, workflow, interfaces, and outputs.
• Assess feasibility, cost, and compatibility with other systems and computer capabilities.
• Develop impromptu reports according to user requests.
• Work on complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variables.
