Debug Associate Engineer (Based in Ipoh)

Job Short Description: Technicians / Senior Technicians / Associate Engineer I for Debug

Job Responsibilities

To assist the product engineer in terms of product family in achieving yield target; scrap cost target, debug accuracy target & lean projects eval.

  • Support for PE evaluations, projects and analysis , BOM cost improvements evaluations (over temp), Test time reduction projects, Prime Yield improvement , Spec file verifications / qualifications (include Partest) and Support and confirm OBA failure and analysis. ROHS debug and failure analysis. Real Time debug – debug findings reports.
  • Improvement in debug accuracy through training with PE buddy (RWK, NTF accuracy; retest reduction opportunities).
  • Scrap Cost Monitoring by Product.
  • Ensure compliance to Safety, ESD, Cleanroom and Housekeeping guidelines.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Performing any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time.
  • Derive Continual Improvement. Practice Risk Base Thinking in planning and execution of task.
  • Compliance to ISO Requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes etc.
Job Requirements

Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Optoelectronics or Telecommunications).

  • At least 5 years of experience in optical device testing/repair related industry and in mass production environment.
  • Familiar with basic knowledge and principle of optical devices.
  • Candidates without appropriate experience may be accepted by the hiring manager subject to job nature, availability of buddy, duration of learning, etc.
  • With good computer literacy, good communication skill and reporting of information/ data.
  • Familiar with circuit diagrams and a strong background in Electronics.
  • Familiarity with test instruments (Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, etc.)
  • Experience in troubleshooting PCBA preferred.
  • Can work independently and work with support teams as needed.
  • Has basic knowledge of optical circuit, circuit analysis, problem solving and master the use of optical module test instruments.
