Our client is a well-established private education group withmulti-campus presence in Malaysia.

Tolead and manage the Faculty so that it makes a significant contribution to theoperation and strategic development of the University. To represent the Facultyat management level and committee meetings as required.

Responsibilities:

1. Management

• To make an active contribution to the University'sstrategic development.
• To represent and promote the interests of theUniversity.

2. Academic Leadership

• To lead the academic development of the Faculty.
• To support activities to maximise the impact ofresearch, as appropriate and to develop a supportive research culture withinthe Faculty, with due regard for the need to manage the delivery of results andcontribute to the Faculty’s research targets.
• To ensure professional accreditation of programmes asappropriate to the discipline.
• To be accountable for the effective delivery ofprogrammes, modules and related activities associated with the Faculty, and beproactive in enhancing and developing the quality of the students’ learningexperience and the quality of teaching.
• To maintain an appropriate academic contribution inagreement with the SEGi University Management.
• To be responsible for the effective financialmanagement of the Department.

4. Strategic Planning

• To take a leading role in the development of theportfolio of activities across the Faculty and manage all staff within theFaculty.

5. Governance

• To ensure that the activities of the Faculty areundertaken in accordance with the governance, policy and regulatory frameworksof the University.

6. Marketing and Communications

• To develop and promote the internal and external profile of the Faculty, ensuring effective communication channels and appropriate interaction with staff, students, and professional bodies.

Requirements

• Possess a Basic Degree recognised by the MalaysianDental Council (MDC)and post‑graduation qualification in relevant field. PhD isan added advantage.
• A minimum of 15years working experience in academia ofwhich at least 5years holding an academic leadership position.
• Demonstrated high level academic and/or professionalleadership experience.
• Good knowledge and well versed with MQA, MOHE and theProfessional Body requirements.
• Solid analytical, problem solving and administrativeskills especially in curriculum planning/development and implementation.
