About the Company

We are seeking an experienced Dealer Network Development Manager to lead the strategic planning, expansion, and management of our dealer network in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and optimizing sales, service, and charging infrastructure networks while ensuring alignment with brand standards and local regulations. This role requires a results-driven professional with strong industry knowledge, negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

About the Role

The Dealer Network Development Manager will oversee the strategic planning and execution of dealer network development in Malaysia, focusing on sales, service, and charging infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Network Planning & Expansion
  • Develop and execute dealer network development strategies for the Malaysian market, covering sales, service, and charging infrastructure planning.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard dealers and partners that meet brand standards, ensuring coverage in key cities and high-potential regions.
  • Channel Management & Performance Evaluation
  • Establish and manage a KPI-based evaluation system for dealers, tracking metrics such as sales volume, customer satisfaction, after-sales service quality, and brand representation.
  • Leverage dealer incentive and rebate policies to motivate and manage channel partners effectively.
  • Conduct regular channel audits and performance reviews to ensure alignment with headquarters’ objectives.
  • Market & Policy Alignment
  • Monitor Malaysian automotive policies (e.g., MITI, MOF, EV incentives) and provide guidance on compliance and strategic network planning.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to facilitate smooth business implementation.
  • Channel Development & Customer Experience
  • Ensure all channel touchpoints comply with brand VI/CI standards to enhance customer experience throughout the purchase and ownership journey.
  • Oversee end-to-end dealer setup processes—from site selection to launch—ensuring adherence to brand requirements and timelines.
  • Drive dealership excellence in showroom presentation, service delivery, and vehicle handover processes.
Qualifications
  • Education & Background
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, Business Administration, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the automotive industry, including at least 5 years in dealer network development, channel expansion, or sales operations management within the passenger vehicle segment.
  • Professional Competencies
  • Deep understanding of the Malaysian automotive market, including consumer behavior in major cities, competitor channel strategies, and industry dynamics.
  • Proven experience in dealer network expansion, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Prior experience with multinational automotive brands is highly preferred.
  • General Skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with government bodies (e.g., MITI, MOF, JPJ), dealer groups, and partners.
  • Results-oriented with strong project management and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese; proficiency in Malay is a plus.
  • Preferred Attributes
  • Experience in the electric vehicle (EV) industry, with knowledge of local EV policies, subsidies, and infrastructure trends.
  • Proven track record of leading new market entry or greenfield channel development projects.
