Job summary

KGiSL is seeking a data/BI specialist with strong Murex MX.3 experience to design datamart solutions and reporting workflows in a capital markets environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data models and reliable reports.

The role emphasizes data accuracy, governance, and collaboration in a fast-paced on-site Kuala Lumpur setting. A solid foundation in SQL and BI tools is required, with related Murex or capital markets

Job description

• Strong experience with Murex (preferably MX.3) including datamart configuration, reporting workflows, and integration with front-to-back modules.
• Solid skills in SQL and relational database concepts (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, or similar) for data extraction, transformation, and optimization.
• Hands-on experience in capital markets or investment banking, with understanding of financial products such as FX, rates, derivatives, and fixed income.
• Proficiency in data modeling, ETL concepts, and report development using BI or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar) is beneficial.
• Ability to analyze business requirements, perform gap analysis, and translate functional needs into technical datamart and reporting solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail and data accuracy in high-compliance environments.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced on-site setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; relevant Murex or capital markets certifications are an advantage.
