Job description

The Database Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining all database structures that power the ERP, CRM, Accounting, Payroll, and Automation systems. This role requires expertise in SQL, data modelling, relational database design, performance tuning, and ensuring the integrity and security of enterprise data across multiple integrated systems.

Responsibilities

• Design relational database schemas for ERP, CRM, Accounting, Payroll, HR, Inventory, and Automation modules.
• Create ERDs, normalization structures, and indexing strategies.
• Develop stored procedures, triggers, functions, and optimized SQL queries.
• Build ETL processes, data pipelines, and synchronization jobs.
• Implement database‑level validation rules and business logic.
• Conduct query optimization, indexing, and execution plan tuning.
• Identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks.
• Implement data integrity, validation, and error‑handling mechanisms.
• Enforce encryption, masking, access privileges, and data security.
• Support compliance with PDPA, ISO 27001, and internal governance.
• Manage backups, restores, replication, and versioning.
• Support DevOps with DB deployment scripts and rollback strategies.
• Investigate and resolve production issues related to data or performance.
• Maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and schema change logs.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3–6 years hands‑on experience in database development or enterprise data engineering.
• Strong expertise in MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent RDBMS.
• Proficiency with stored procedures, triggers, views, indexes, and query optimization.
• Experience with ETL processes, data migration, and replication.
• Familiarity with AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or cloud‑based DB services.
• Understanding of JSON, APIs, and structured/unstructured data formats.
• Basic familiarity with DevOps pipelines and infrastructure concepts.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving capability.
• Excellent documentation discipline and communication skills.
