Mesiniaga Berhad is seeking a talented Database Administrator to join our team in Subang Jaya, Selangor. As a full-time Database Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimising the company's database systems, ensuring seamless operations and data integrity.

What you’ll be doing

• Manage and maintain the company's database infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and ongoing administration
• Monitor database performance, identify and resolve issues, and implement optimisation strategies
• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection and business continuity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address database-related requirements
• Perform database tuning, indexing, and query optimisation to enhance system performance
• Implement and maintain database security measures, including user access controls and data encryption
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users on database‑related matters
• Participate in the design and implementation of new database solutions to support business growth

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
• Strong proficiency in database management and administration, preferably with experience in SQL Server or Oracle
• Hands‑on experience in database design, performance tuning, backup, and recovery procedures
• Familiarity with database security best practices and the ability to implement access controls and data encryption
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex database issues
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and provide technical support to stakeholders
• Solid understanding of database management principles and concepts
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
