Job Description

The Team: Global Supply Chain Analytics (SCA) are strategic partners that influence and support decisions for the Global Supply Chain (GSC) planning organization. This is accomplished through the adoption of advanced analytical tools to create user friendly reports, dashboards, and tools. Outstanding analysis is provided through descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and predictive analytics. Embracing Speed and Efficiency is accomplished through automation and streamlining metrics and analyses.

The Opportunity: This role is for a Data Scientist within the Global Supply Chain Analytics team. You'll be responsible for analyzing global data, providing recommendations, and reporting key insights to decision-makers. A core part of your impact will be enabling easier access and analysis of data for the Global Supply Chain organization. This position will report to the Analytics Manager in Supply Chain Analytics located in the UK.

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Perform analyses on various global data sources.
  • Provide recommendations based on standard procedures.
  • Report patterns, insights, and trends to decision-makers.
  • Identify data discrepancies and conduct trend analysis.
  • Automate operational reporting.

Technical Skills:

  • Comfortable writing and evaluating SQL from various star schema databases.
  • Use SQL to extract and interpret data.
  • Understand dependencies of stored procedures, views, and scheduled jobs to manage data issues.
  • Support development of dashboards and reports using advanced tools, following standards and best practices (specifically mentioned Tableau development).

Mindset & Collaboration:

  • Possess a "data mindset" and enjoy organizing data for easy interpretation.
  • Help drive data-driven decisions for the Global Supply Chain organization.
  • Build knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers.
  • Receive moderate guidance and direction.
Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • Education and Experience: A Bachelor's Degree with at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • SQL Expertise: A minimum of 3 years of primary responsibility using SQL (ideally with exposure to GBQ), coupled with familiarity in database analysis and management.
  • Data Visualization: Hands‑on experience with data visualization tools and dashboard development, such as Tableau, Cognos, or Thoughtspot.
  • Data Mindset: A natural inclination towards organizing and interpreting data to drive insights.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supply Chain Knowledge: Experience in Supply Chain Planning.
  • Programming Skills: Familiarity with coding languages like Python and R.
  • Machine Learning: Basic understanding or familiarity with Machine Learning concepts.
  • Collaboration Tools: Experience using JIRA and Confluence.
