Job summary

Calibrax AI is seeking a Data Science Intern to support engineering and delivery teams in preparing, exploring, and modelling data that feeds our systems. You’ll work with real datasets, constraints, and deliverables alongside consultants and engineers who expect rigour.

Ideal candidates are pursuing or recently completed a degree in a quantitative field, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to explain results to non-technical colleagues. Proficiency in Python and SQL is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in a quantitative field.
• Proficiency in Python for data work (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn).
• Working knowledge of SQL.
• Solid grounding in core ML concepts and evaluation.
• Experience with data cleaning, exploratory data analysis, and visualisation.
• Strong written English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, explore, and model data for internal systems and tooling.
• Work with real datasets, constraints, and deliverables alongside consultants and engineers.
• Explain results to non-technical stakeholders.
• Flag blockers early and work with minimal hand-holding.
