Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking an experienced Data Platforms & AI Azure Architect to join our Cloud & Security practice in Malaysia, supporting clients across the ASEAN region. You will design modern Azure data platform solutions, including ingestion, storage, processing, analytics, and reporting, while guiding customers on Fabric, Data Factory, Synapse, and Databricks.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Microsoft technology experience with strong Azure data platform architecture experience.
• Proven experience designing enterprise data platforms including batch, streaming, ETL, analytics and reporting.
• Strong understanding of Azure data services, modern data architecture patterns, governance and data lifecycle.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or other modern data platform technologies.
• Presales or solution consulting experience within a cloud SI, GSI, or consulting environment.
• Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and explaining data platforms to drive business outcomes.
• Strong English communication skills.

Role Overview

NTT DATA is looking for an experienced Data Platforms & AI Azure Architect to join our Cloud & Security practice in Malaysia, supporting clients across the ASEAN region.

This role is focused on helping clients design, modernise, and scale their data platforms on Microsoft Azure. The successful candidate will work across data architecture, analytics platforms, AI enablement, presales, and solution advisory, helping customers turn data into practical business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Design modern Azure data platform solutions for enterprise clients.
• Architect data ingestion, storage, processing, analytics, and reporting solutions across Azure.
• Support solution design across batch, streaming, ETL, data lake, data warehouse, and lakehouse patterns.
• Advise clients on Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Power BI, and related Azure data services.
• Help clients modernise legacy data platforms and define practical migration or transformation roadmaps.
• Support presales activities, including client workshops, discovery sessions, proposals, solution estimates, and executive presentations.

Required Experience

• 7+ years of Microsoft technology experience, with strong Azure data platform architecture experience.
• Proven experience designing enterprise data platforms, including batch processing, streaming, ETL, analytics, and reporting solutions.
• Strong understanding of Azure data services, modern data architecture patterns, integration, governance, and data lifecycle management.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or other modern data platform technologies.
• Prior presales or solution consulting experience within a cloud SI, GSI, managed services provider, or consulting environment.
• Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and explaining how data platforms enable business outcomes.
• Strong English communication skills, either as a primary language or strong secondary language.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI/ML platforms, Azure AI services, or applied analytics use cases.
• Exposure to Azure security, data security, privacy, governance, or compliance requirements.
• Experience with application modernization, APIs, event-driven architecture, or cloud-native data integration.
