Job summary

WD is building the infrastructure behind the AI-driven data economy. We are seeking a Data Engineering Intern to bolster our engineering operations team, covering schema design, data ingestion, API interfaces, template generation logic and reporting dashboards across relational, time-series, and vector data.

You will assist in database schema design, develop ETL pipelines, build API interfaces, implement template mapping, and support dashboards and data quality checks.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• Expected internship onboarding/start date: Early 2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist in database schema design and documentation for an automation system supporting engineering test operations.
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines for data ingestion and transformation workflows.
• Build basic API interfaces for data access and integration with engineering platforms and systems
• Implement template parameter mapping and generation logic using templating frameworks.
• Support reporting and dashboarding development for engineering and operational metrics.
• Perform data quality checks and validation across structured and unstructured data sources.
• Maintain clear documentation for pipelines, schemas, and workflows.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain clean, well-documented code.
