Job summary

Techstreet Malaysia is seeking a data engineer to design, build and manage our data infrastructure in Kuala Lumpur. You will ensure data is organized, accessible and secure to enable data-driven decisions across the business.

You will design data models, develop a scalable data warehouse, integrate data from OT systems, and work with IT and business users to deliver reliable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in database engineering or database management
• Understanding of data architecture and data modelling, operating technologies
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala; knowledge of data warehousing principles

• 1. Design and implement data models: Crete logical and physical data models to support business processes.
• 2. Develop and maintain data warehouse: Build and manage scalable data storage solutions.
• 3. Integrate data from various sources: combine data from different systems, primarily from operating technologies (OT) to create a unified view.
• 4. Ensure data quality and integrity: Implement processes to validate and clean data.
• 5. Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with business users and IT teams to understand their data need and deliver effective solutions.

Requirements

• 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 2. At least 2 years of working experience in database engineering or database management role.
• 3. Understand data architecture, data modelling and operating technologies.
• 5. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• 6. Knowledge of data warehousing principles and best practices.
• 7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• 8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
