Denna position rapporterar till APAC Regional Digital Lead and Local Marketing Lead.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead marketing and sales activities related to products, systems, and services within the data center segment, for the assigned area. Reporting directly to the ELSP/ ELSP country VP, you will ensure that the division and related sales units substantially improve their sales, margins, market share, and customer satisfaction in the selected market segments. You will also showcase your expertise by developing and implementing a market-based strategy including direct, third party, and project sales and enhancing cross-division and cross-region business-led collaborations for the specific market segment.

The work model for the role is: #LI-onsite, #LI-hybrid. This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings/Smart Power Business based at Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Leading the segment team members and reinforces global sales efficiency and performance.
  • Building relationships with key external influencers/key customers and leverages ABB’s strengths to capture new business opportunities.
  • Driving and ensuring knowledge sharing and cross-division and cross-country collaborations.
  • Activating operation intelligence, benchmarking, and analysis to identify industry segment trends, practices, product gaps, competitor strategy, etc.
  • Mapping market requirements and opportunities to actions for ABB and coordinates with divisions, sales units, and other relevant teams to implement them.
  • Reinforcing ABB’s visibility in the target segment(s) by strengthening external market segment communication, in coordination with the Marketing Communication team and by participating in dedicated customer events and segment trade fairs.
  • Building relationships with key external influencers/key customers and leverages ABB’s strengths to capture new business opportunities.
  • Ensuring ABB’s value proposition for the target segment is developed and well-communicated, both internally and externally.
Qualifications for the role
  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering field or Business Administration.
  • Proven work experience in the area of responsibility of at least 5 years.
  • Strong network within assigned segment.
  • Experience in Low Voltage Solutions especially with LV switchgear will be an added advantage.
  • Proven ability to work across functions and reporting lines.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills. Commercially astute.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Must be self-starter and pro-active. Be able to work independently as well as in team.
