Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, coordinate, and deliver mission-critical M&E systems for data centers. You will prepare calculations, reports, drawings, and tender documents, and collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors while ensuring compliance with ASHRAE, NFPA, and UBBL standards.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 1–5 years of M&E design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, and a willingness to travel to site offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–5 years in M&E engineering design; fresh graduates welcomed.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit/BIM knowledge is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and coordinate mechanical systems for data centers.
• Prepare design calculations, technical reports, equipment specs, drawings and tender docs.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, C&S consultants, and contractors for seamless M&E integration.
• Support lifecycle from concept and tender evaluation through testing, commissioning and handover.
• Liaise with local authorities to ensure designs meet ASHRAE, NFPA, UBBL and data center guidelines.
• Attend site meetings, conduct site inspections, and review shop drawings for QC.
