Job summary

AWS is seeking candidates for a 6-month Data Center Engineering Operation internship in Malaysia. You will be part of a 24/7 operations team supporting critical data center facilities and learning advanced infrastructure technologies.

Successful interns may be evaluated for a regular full-time position after the program. Basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, HVAC or fire systems is required, with graduation anticipated in 2027 or within the past 24 months, and legal eligibility

• Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, HVAC or fire systems in critical facilities.
• Expected graduation in 2027 or within the past 24 months.
• Eligible to work legally in Malaysia.
• Excellent communication in Malaysian and English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Support 24x7 operations of data center facilities and systems.
• Learn and assist maintenance of electrical, mechanical and control systems.
• Collaborate with the DCEO team to improve reliability and safety.
• Participate in the 6-month program with potential progression to full-time.

Basic Qualifications

• Basic technical understanding of electrical, mechanical, HVAC or fire systems in critical facilities
• Willing to work in a 24 x 7 rotating shift roster, or oncall basis
• Expected graduation in 2027 or graduated within the past 24 months.
• Candidates must be able to legally work in Malaysia.
• Excellent communication skills in Malaysian and English, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a relevant engineering discipline
• Foundational technical knowledge of critical facilities including electrical, mechanical and control systems, with strong eagerness to learn and grow in mission critical operations
