Job summary

Tune Protect Group Berhad is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to gain hands-on experience across security operations, cloud and infrastructure security, and cyber risk management.

You will work with security professionals on incident response, vulnerability management, and security controls across on-prem and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field.
• Fresh grads welcome; up to 2 years IT/Cybersecurity experience considered.
• Interest in cybersecurity and willingness to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SOC, Infrastructure, Cloud, and App teams to improve security controls across on-prem and cloud.
• Administer, monitor, and maintain security tech such as EDR, Email Security, DLP, PAM, SWG, firewalls.
• Assist investigations and remediation of security incidents, vulnerabilities, and alerts.
• Support risk assessments and implement security controls and best practices.
• Coordinate VAPT activities, track findings and ensure remediation.
• Work with teams to integrate security into design, implementation, and operations.
• Prepare security dashboards and reports for management on security performance and risk.
• Support audits by coordinating remediation and meeting timelines.
• Stay updated on threats, MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, CIS Controls.
• Promote cybersecurity awareness and best practices.

Job description

We are looking for a motivated Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team and gain hands-on experience across security operations, cloud security, infrastructure security, and cyber risk management.

This role provides excellent exposure to enterprise security technologies, incident response, vulnerability management, and collaboration with experienced cybersecurity professionals.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Security Operations Centre (SOC), Infrastructure, Cloud, and Application teams to support and continuously improve the organization's cybersecurity controls across both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Assist in administering, monitoring, and maintaining security technologies such as Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), Email Security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), firewalls, and other cybersecurity solutions.
• Support the investigation and remediation of cybersecurity incidents, vulnerabilities, and security alerts, working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Participate in security risk assessments and contribute to the implementation of security controls, best practices, and recommendations to strengthen the organization's security posture.
• Assist in coordinating Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) activities, ensuring findings are tracked, remediated, validated, and closed in a timely manner.
• Work closely with Infrastructure, Cloud, and Application teams to integrate security requirements throughout the design, implementation, and operational lifecycle of systems and services.
• Prepare security dashboards, reports, and operational updates to help management understand the organization's security performance and risk exposure.
• Support internal and external audits by coordinating remediation activities and ensuring audit findings are addressed within agreed timelines.
• Stay updated on emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, vulnerabilities, security technologies, and industry best practices, including frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and CIS Controls.
• Contribute to cybersecurity awareness initiatives and promote security best practices across the organization.

Job Requirements

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with up to 2 years of experience in IT, Networking, Cybersecurity, or related fields are also welcome.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related discipline.
• A genuine interest in cybersecurity and a strong willingness to learn and grow in the field.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and network security.
• Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
• Exposure to cybersecurity concepts such as phishing, malware, vulnerability management, or security monitoring through studies, internships, projects, competitions, or self-learning.
• Knowledge of security technologies such as EDR, firewalls, Microsoft Defender, SIEM, DLP, or similar tools is an advantage but not required.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is an advantage.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or MITRE ATT&CK is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, SC-900, AZ-900, or equivalent are an advantage but not mandatory.
• Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or Bash) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive attitude, curiosity, and eagerness to continuously learn new technologies and cybersecurity practices.
