Job description

This Cyber Security Engineer role involves protecting computer systems and networks, developing and maintaining Information Security Plans and Policies, and planning and carrying out an organization's information security strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Protecting computer systems and networks.
• Developing and maintaining Information Security Plans and Policies with yearly review or as needed.
• Developing and maintaining hardening checklist by adopting industrial best practices and reviewing yearly.
• Planning and carrying out an organization's information security strategy.
• Developing strategies to respond to and recover from a security breach.
• Educating the workforce on information security through training and building awareness.
• Using firewalls and data encryption programs to protect organizations' sensitive information.
• Conducting quarterly scans of networks to find any vulnerability.
• Conducting bi-yearly penetration testing to simulate an attack on the system and highlight or find any weaknesses.
• Monitoring organizations' networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions.
• Leading incident response activities and conducting technical and forensic investigations into security breaches.

Requirements:

• At least 4 years of working experience in a related field.
• Bachelor's Degree in IT/Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information System or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Industry's Security standards such as NIST and ISO/IEC 27001.
