Job summary

Ericsson Malaysia is seeking an experienced Cyber Defence Specialist to monitor, detect, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity threats while upholding regulatory compliance. You will support SOC operations, incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and security governance across on‑prem and cloud environments.

The role involves forensic investigations, security automation, and contributing to continuous improvement of the organization’s cyber defence capabilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 5–10 years of cybersecurity experience; telco network background preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in a Security Operations Center (SOC).

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and triage incidents across SIEM/EDR/NDR/SOAR platforms.
• Lead Level 2/3 incident investigations and response, including remediation and post‑incident reviews.
• Perform threat hunting and malware analysis using MITRE ATT&CK techniques.
• Support compliance, governance, and forensic investigations across endpoints, servers, and cloud workloads.
