A freight forwarding company in Johor Bahru is seeking a professional to manage import forwarding operations, coordinate with customers and carriers, and prepare necessary documentation. The role involves ensuring effective communication and timely movement of cargo as well as addressing customer inquiries. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in freight forwarding, knowledge of customs declaration, and excellent coordination skills.
Handle import forwarding operations, including coordination with customers, carriers, and customs brokers
Arrange daily haulage for container pick-up, delivery, and return, ensuring timely movement of cargo
Support the sales team in managing customer requirements and operational follow-ups
Monitor and communicate customers’ shipment status accurately and timely
Arrange daily bookings with carriers and co-loaders, ensuring rate validity and providing clear delivery instructions
Attend to customer enquiries and resolve operational issues promptly
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, overseas agents, shipping lines, and co-loaders
Ensure all customer and agent enquiries are responded to promptly and followed through efficiently
Prepare Bills of Lading (BL), invoices, Shipping Instructions (SI), and other export-related documentation
Monitor and manage US-AMS Ocean Manifest and FMC filing via the Tradetech platform to ensure regulatory compliance
Ensure job opening and closing procedures are completed according to company requirements
Coordinate shipment schedules with overseas agents, carriers, co-loaders, and vendors
Ensure efficient transportation and delivery of goods in line with customer expectations, maintaining effective communication throughout the process
Minimum 3 years of working experience
Relevant experience in freight forwarding
Knowledge of customs declaration and related procedures
