Work Location: Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

The Customer Service Executive – Freight Forwarding is responsible for managing customer interactions and ensuring smooth import and export shipments coordination. This role supports end-to-end logistics operations, maintaining high levels of service and client satisfaction in line with international freight forwarding standards.

Key Accountabilities
  • Coordinate and manage import and export shipments via ocean and trucking from booking to final delivery.
  • Act as the primary liaison for customers, providing timely updates, handling inquiries, and resolving service-related issues.
  • Prepare, review, and process all required shipping documents including air waybills, bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
  • Communicate and collaborate with carriers, airlines, freight agents, and internal departments to ensure efficient cargo handling.
  • Track and monitor shipment status, proactively addressing any delays or discrepancies.
  • Ensure all processes comply with Malaysian customs regulations and international trade requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the system for all customer and shipment‑related transactions.
  • Support continuous service improvement by identifying common issues and recommending process enhancements.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in freight forwarding, specifically in ocean and trucking operations.
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures, Incoterms, and documentation requirements (e.g., B/L, commercial invoice, packing list).
  • Familiarity with Sabah customs regulations and clearance procedures.
  • Strong communication, problem‑solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
