Job summary

A leading semiconductor company located in Seberang Perai, Malaysia is seeking an experienced Engineer to enhance quality management practices and support product performance. The role demands strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively to meet customer standards. Candidates need a B.Sc. in Physics or Mathematics or an equivalent BE degree, along with five years of relevant experience in the semiconductor sector. Proficiency in additional languages such as Mandarin or Japanese is beneficial.

  • Certified ISO 9001 Internal Auditor.
  • Knowledge of Vacuum Valve Product and Wafer Fab front-end processes.

Job description

We are looking for Engineer who is highly motivated and further develop their quality management and problem solving skill. In this position, you will work closely with cross‑functional team to support job role needs such as managing product quality plan and customer complains. The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following behavioral skills :

Driving the team in meeting customer and product quality expectations and requirement including Scorecard Improvements and Escalation Management.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Identifies and analyses issues, defects and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products, recommends and facilitates solutions to prevent recurrences of these issues.

Interfacing with customer on quality related topics

Be the Customer Representative ensuring full compliance to Copy Exact requirements

Driving Product and Quality performance improvement

Leading customer audits and customer quality performance reporting

Maintaining high standard of 8D reports.

Ensures out of control situations are managed effectively through a well‑defined Out of Control Action Plans (OCAP), e.g. timely and effective containment actions.

High code‑of conduct, professional and reliable towards customer satisfaction creation.

BSc (Physics/Mathematics) or BE (EE/ME) with 5 years of experience in Semiconductor environment.

Certified ISO 9001 Internal Auditor

Semiconductor /Wafer manufacturing environment, not limited to VAT’s Global and Key Accounts customers.

Vacuum Valve Product and Process Knowledge / Wafer Fab front‑end processes

Additional language skill other than native languages (e.g Mandarin/Japanese)
