Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Customer Development Engineer to join our dynamic team at P&B Metal Components (Asia) Sdn Bhd. Within this role you will play a crucial role in driving customer satisfaction and business growth within the Manufacturing industry. This is a full-time position based in Johor Bahru, Johor.

What you'll be doing

Providing technical support and solutions to customers, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and effectively

Undertake product costing for both new and existing items.

Analyzing customer feedback and data to identify areas for business development

Participating and controlling the tooling development process for new products ensuring timely delivery in line with customer requirements

Fostering strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor and problem-solver

Staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to provide valuable insights to customers

Identifying and approving new and alternative material suppliers in order to give the Company the best available options

Evaluating possible areas of process optimization in order to minimise product costings

What we're looking for

Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering

Strong technical knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes and components

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers

Proficiency in project management, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

A customer-centric mindset and a desire to exceed customer expectations
