Job summary

CIMB in Malaysia is seeking a customer service and cash handling professional to perform bank transactions, currency exchange, and remittance services in a high-volume environment. The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and customer-focused service.

Responsibilities include handling cash buys/sells, counterfeit checks prevention, and fulfilling on-site and off-site customer requests while supporting sales targets and relationship building.

Qualifications

• Perform all transactions in compliance within the Bank’s guidelines policies and procedures.
• Provides exceptional customer service, involving receipt, rates exchange and foreign currency exchange in cash handling, while working in a high volume, sales environment.
• Handling cash exchange in bank buy and bank sell in accordance under bank procedures and recording all transactions accurately and balancing by end of each day of operations.
• Examines cash carefully to guard against the acceptance of counterfeit cash checks and identification of customers.
• Provides door to door FCN and Remittance service at customers site whenever required by BDC Manager and/or BDC Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Achieve and focus on personal targets while understanding and assisting to achieve team sales and revenue targets.
• To up-sell foreign currency exchange and promote remittance through CIMB Bank Currency Exchange.
• Assist current and new potential customers with their banking needs.
• Attend, assist and manage customer requests, inquiries, problems and complaints.
• Develop and build long-term relationship with new and existing customers through multiple approaches.
• Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential.
• Assist off-site BDC events whenever required by BDC Manager and/or BDC Supervisor.
• Performs other tasks as requested by Management as they related to the bank and its functions.
