Job summary

A finance company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Credit Officer to assess clients' credit data and financial status, prepare financing applications, and evaluate creditworthiness. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of relevant experience, strong analytical skills, and a BSc in a related field. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required, with Mandarin or Japanese as an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients’ credit data & financial status
• Evaluate creditworthiness and risks
• Analyze & review risks of applications
• Prepare & process financing applications for submission to the Credit Manager and higher authority, as well as review credit applications of marketing personnel and assist them when needed
• Any other tasks as required by Credit Manager and/or management

Requirements

• Proven 3 or more years work experience as a Credit Officer, Loan Officer, or similar role
• Hands-on experience with lending procedures and products
• Should have a good understanding of lending procedures while complying with the law
• Ability to create and process financial spreadsheets
• Strong analytical skills
• Good time management
• BSc in Accounting, Business, Banking and Finance, Economics or related field
• Written & oral abilities in English & Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin & Japanese would be an added advantage
