Edelman is building the world’s most trusted, effective, and measurable Creator Marketing capability and Southeast Asia is where the future is being written fastest. As the Creator Marketing Leader for SEA, you will architect and accelerate Edelman’s Creator vision across SEA with a focus on Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the wider region.
You will shape how brands show up in culture, unlock the next generation of creator–brand partnerships, and build the systems, talent, and ecosystem that make Edelman the region’s most influential creator marketing partner. This is a role for someone who sees where Creator Marketing is head toward—decentralized creativity, community momentum, AI-driven production, commerce integration, and culturally rooted storytelling—and wants to lead that future.
What You Will Lead:
Regional Growth & Category Leadership
- Establish Edelman as the defining authority in Creator Marketing across SEA, influencing clients, platforms, creators, and partners.
- Develop SEA-specific go-to-market strategies that align with market maturity and evolving client needs.
- Shape a visionary POV on how Creator Marketing drives business, reputation, and culture— and champion it through stages, media, and client forums.
Client Impact & Innovation
- Architect Creator-led programs that integrate earned storytelling, social strategy, digital ecosystems, AI-enhanced creativity, and commerce.
- Lead flagship regional client relationships, ensuring cultural resonance, measurable performance, and business outcomes.
- Develop iconic SEA case studies that showcase industry-defining creativity and meaningful impact.
Team, Capability & Culture Building
- Build and inspire a diverse team of Creator strategists, producers, partnership leads & emerging specialists.
- Create frameworks, playbooks, and training that elevate Creator Marketing excellence across markets.
- Foster a culture that values creativity, inclusivity, experimentation, agility, and craft.
Ecosystem & Partnerships
- Strengthen Edelman’s strategic relationships with platforms (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and emerging), creator collectives, MCNs, talent partners, marketplaces, measurement platforms, and tech collaborators.
- Connect clients with a thriving ecosystem of creators who reflect the region’s cultural richness and emerging talent movements.
- Expand responsible, future-proof Creator Marketing practices that prioritize brand safety, ethical AI, measurement, IP clarity, and transparent disclosure.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Edelman’s leading evangelist for Creator Marketing in SEA, shaping demand and elevating standards across the region.
- Drive new business, shape high-performing integrated creator programs, and guide strategic pitches.
- Build regional centers of excellence and ensure alignment of operations, talent, and creative output across markets.
- Enhance internal capabilities in Creator strategy, AI-driven production, rights management, and performance measurement.
- Codify best practices across content usage, creator contracts, responsible AI, compliance, and brand reputation.
Qualifications
- 10–15 years in Creator/Influencer Marketing, social-first strategy, or digital storytelling across agencies, platforms, publishers, or brands.
- Deep understanding of SEA’s cultural dynamics, digital habits, creators, and platform economies.
- Proven ability to lead multi-market, creator-driven programs with measurable results.
- Strong relationships across the creator, media, platform, and talent ecosystems.
- Expertise in usage rights, IP management, disclosure and privacy regulations, and platform best practices.
- High fluency in English; additional languages such as Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Indonesia, Thai, or Vietnamese are an advantage.
- A strategic leader with exceptional communication, storytelling, and stakeholder-management ability.
