Qualifications

About The Role

This position will be based in our Malaysia office located in Mid Valley, KL.

What You Will Do
  • Create and execute engaging videography and photography content for The Smart Local Malaysia (TSLMY)’s media platforms
  • Write scripts, copies and captions suited for the type of content being produced
  • Edit videos with a strong sense of pacing, tone and storytelling for social media using industry standard tools and software
  • Take on talenting and hosting roles
  • Ideate, propose and develop fresh, creative content ideas and segments that are on-brand and have viral potential
  • Conduct research and curate factual, relevant information that supports the content creation process
  • Take full ownership to handle client and organic campaigns from start to end, working closely with project managers and content strategists
  • Take on ad hoc roles to support the team
The Successful Candidate Should Have
  • 2+ years of relevant working experience with a strong portfolio
  • Well-versed in both videography and photography (from pre to post-production)
  • Strong proficiency (2+ years) in editing, preferably Premiere Pro. Candidates more proficient in other editing softwares are still welcome to apply
  • Good understanding of digital content and the social media landscape
  • Creative thinker who keeps abreast of trending topics and able to translate that into video/photo content ideas while adding twists
  • Good hosting and talenting ability
  • Excellent command of English
  • Efficient and able to juggle several projects at once with tight deadlines
  • Self-starter and able to pick things up quickly and independently
  • Highly adaptable to a work environment that is fast-paced and constantly changing
