Borders (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Creative Designer to join our Balakong, Selangor team. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of proven experience in arts, design or fashion, and is proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to craft striking visuals.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience as a Creative Designer or in a similar role within the Arts, Design, or Fashion industry.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with a strong emphasis on Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and InDesign for creating compelling visual assets.
Demonstrated expertise in Layout Design, Graphic Design principles, and Digital Illustration techniques to produce high-quality creative work.
Experience in Branding, including the ability to develop and maintain brand identity across various platforms and marketing materials.
A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of creative projects, highlighting conceptual thinking, aesthetic sensibility, and technical execution.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and receive constructive feedback.
Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken, is essential for effective communication within the team and with local stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment at our Balakong, Selangor office.
Keen eye for detail and a passion for staying updated with the latest design trends and technologies.

Responsibilities

Lead the conceptualization and execution of innovative design solutions across various platforms, including digital, print, and branding initiatives, aligning with the company's artistic vision and market trends.
Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, and other cross-functional teams to translate project objectives into compelling visual narratives and user-centered designs.
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of current design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices within the arts, design, and fashion industries to ensure cutting-edge creative output.
Oversee the entire design process from initial brief and concept development through to final asset delivery, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to project timelines.
Mentor and guide junior designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering a collaborative and inspiring creative environment.
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively and ensuring timely delivery of exceptional creative assets that meet or exceed client and stakeholder expectations.
Utilize advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software to produce polished and professional design work, including digital illustrations and complex layouts.
