Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Tech Malaysia is seeking a proactive Communications Intern to support the Internal Communications team. The role suits final-year students with an interest in design, content creation, video production, and corporate communications.

You will assist in campaigns, employee engagement, internal events, and multimedia content while gaining hands-on experience in a global organization. This internship offers mentorship and portfolio-building opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related field.
• Final semester preferred for a full-time 6 months internship.
• Proficient in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
• Strong graphic design and visual storytelling skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with photography, videography and social media content creation is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Creative, detail-oriented, proactive, and willing to learn.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design communication materials such as posters, banners, infographics, newsletters, digital signages, and presentation slides.
• Develop creative assets for internal campaigns, employee engagement initiatives, and corporate events.
• Create visually appealing content that aligns with Mercedes-Benz brand guidelines.
• Support the development of creative concepts and storytelling materials.
• Assist in planning, filming, editing, and producing videos for internal communication campaigns and company events.
• Create short-form videos, event highlights, employee features, and promotional content.
• Support photography and photo editing activities for internal communications.
• Add subtitles, basic animations, transitions, and other visual elements to enhance video content.
• Draft and proofread communication materials including emails, intranet articles, announcements, and event communications.
• Assist in maintaining content on internal communication platforms such as SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
• Support employee engagement campaigns and internal branding initiatives.
• Support the planning and execution of internal events, workshops, town halls, and corporate campaigns.
• Assist with event logistics, registrations, participant communications, and on-site coordination.
• Help capture event highlights through photography and videography.
• Support post-event reporting and feedback collection.
• Assist with scheduling meetings and managing communication-related documentation.
• Maintain communication asset libraries, photo repositories, and content archives.
• Support administrative tasks related to communication activities and events.
• Assist the team with day-to-day operational and administrative requirements.
