Job summary

Grab is seeking a seasoned Country Procurement Manager for Singapore and Malaysia to connect business teams with Procurement across two markets and the Regional Office. You will lead fast-cycle sourcing, negotiate with suppliers, and coach a small team to deliver local and regional category decisions.

You will partner with Category Managers and the Buy Desk to ensure rapid, compliant sourcing, manage local contracts, and drive savings using Finance methodologies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in procurement with local sourcing and negotiation.
• Experience with demand shaping and sourcing plans.
• Strong relationships with senior stakeholders; coaching juniors.

Get to Know the Role

Singapore is Grab's Regional Office and a local market; Malaysia is also a local market. Both need procurement that stays close to the business, moves quickly, and knows when sourcing calls for deeper assessment.

As Country Procurement Manager for Singapore and Malaysia, you'll connect business teams with Procurement across both markets and the Regional Office. Within Operational Excellence, you'll lead fast-cycle sourcing and handle more complex local sourcing when needed.

You'll partner with Category Managers, the Buy Desk, and a two-person team, bringing local market insight to day-to-day delivery and regional category decisions.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Partner with country and Finance leaders to clarify needs, objectives, constraints, and trade-offs. Bring in Category Managers when specialist expertise is needed.
• Own fast-cycle, low-materiality sourcing across Singapore, Malaysia, and the Regional Office. Set the sourcing approach, then hand awards to the Buy Desk for onboarding, purchase orders, and catalogue setup.
• Lead medium-to-high complexity local execution when category strategy and market conditions call for it. Shape negotiations with the Category Manager, who owns category strategy and leads regional or high-materiality awards.
• Surface local requirements early, challenge regional approaches that won't work locally, and give Category Managers clear recommendations.
• Turn repeat purchases into catalogues, rate cards, or standing agreements. Address split purchase orders and off-panel buying with the Buy Desk; track touchless rate and sourcing cycle time.
• Close and renew local contracts, monitor supplier performance and risk, propose mitigations, and track savings using Finance's methodology.
• Set priorities, review work, and coach two direct reports to run sourcing independently.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• 10+ years in Procurement, from in-market sourcing to complex sourcing and negotiation.
• Skilled in demand shaping, sourcing plans, and negotiating commercial terms.
• Proven results improving sourcing speed, catalogue coverage, or buying discipline.
• Singapore and Malaysia procurement experience, or deep expertise in one market and exposure to the other.
• Strong senior stakeholder relationships and experience coaching junior colleagues.
• Regular use of AI or data tools for analysis and drafting, with careful validation against facts and policy.
