Job summary

A leading construction consultancy is seeking a Country Manager for Malaysia. You will oversee client acquisition, project delivery, and team mentoring. The ideal candidate has strong operational management experience in a consultancy environment and a track record of building and maintaining client relationships. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years in operational management within a consultancy environment.
  • Experience in managing client relationships in a construction context.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

  • Acquire, grow, and retain a customer base in Malaysia.
  • Manage and grow services in Malaysia as per APAC strategic plan.
  • Develop client relationships based on partnership and trust.
  • Mentor and lead a high-performing team.
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and contractors.

As a Country Manager, Malaysia at Linesight, you will lead highly experienced, culturally diverse, and passionate teams nurturing a strong social dynamic and a shared sense of achievement. In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for the acquisition, growth, retention and satisfaction of a customer base in Malaysia.
  • Manage, deliver and grow Linesight’s services in Malaysia while contributing to the overall APAC strategic plan, developing expert business strategies and execution plans in line with objectives and presenting to the executive team as required.
  • Act as the key account manager for the Malaysian team, developing client relationships based upon partnership and trust.
  • Foster top performance and growth for your employees via excellent mentorship and leadership.
  • Use your business development skills to engage new clients as well as repeat projects with existing clients.
  • Expertly manage client projects and project teams, ensuring all deliverables are achieved in line with schedule and budget requirements.
  • Ensure projects are delivered successfully whilst maintaining teams with the capability to deliver the work required, while preserving profitability levels.
  • Oversee key strategic client projects in Malaysia and broader South East Asia
  • Apply your wealth of construction consultancy experience to achieve all project deliverables within contract performance measures
  • Expertly negotiate contract terms and commercial agreements with external clients and contractors
  • Lead your team to deliver impeccable quality and client value

  • Have strong operational management experience in a dynamic consultancy environment in Asia.
  • Have extensive experience in construction across varied projects through pre and post contract.
  • Have experience and confidence to build a business, lead a team and develop trusted client relationships.
  • Are an excellent communicator verbally and in writing.
  • Thrive on building strong relationships with your team and clients through a shared purpose and sense of openness and fun.
