Job Description
- Possess cost management experience in data centre space.
- Responsible for total cost management of projects, delivering positive outcomes for clients, and demonstrating leadership and coaching to Graduate CM.
- Carry out cost management and contract administration duties with reasonable supervision and guidance.
- Provide cost advice and cost planning, including estimates, comparative design studies, life‑cycle costing, turnover/cash‑flow projections, cost control and cost reports during pre‑contract period.
- Make cost checks and carry out valuations on larger projects, ensuring timely and accurate cost checking and valuation.
- Run the procurement process from all stages in pre‑qualification, including quotation enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation.
- Provide documentation including tender documents, tender reports, pre‑contract correspondence, LOA and contract documents.
- Monitor and verify VO, claims, payment, final account and attend project meetings; produce monthly cost reports.
- Manage knowledge and ensure key information and learning from each commission is entered into the internal database.
- Identify ways to improve internal systems and processes and refer ideas to the appropriate line manager.
- Provide CM role proactively and professionally, interfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stages.
Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent with a minimum of 8–10 years’ experience in related fields; or be registered with the Board of Surveyors, member of RISM and RICS, or have a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying with at least 15 years’ experience.
- Excellent technical knowledge and experience across the full range of cost management duties, including cost estimates, bills of quantities, value engineering, tendering and evaluation, contract knowledge, change orders and final account close‑out.
- Preferable experience in high‑tech manufacturing, life sciences project infrastructure, data centres, retail fit‑out, mixed development, public sector and corporate end‑user banking/office environments.
- Experience from a consultancy background, well‑versed in civil, structural and architectural (CSA).
- Team player with excellent leadership and problem‑solving skills.
- English language skills required with excellent communication skills.
