Job summary

Job description

We are hiring on behalf of our client.

Job Description
1. Cost Accounting & Analysis
  • Maintain and update cost accounting systems, cost standards, and BOMs (Bills of Materials).
  • Perform detailed cost analysis for materials, labor, overhead, and production processes.
  • Prepare and update standard costs and review variances regularly.
2. Inventory & Production Costing
  • Track inventory movements, perform stock valuations, and ensure accurate cost of goods sold (COGS).
  • Conduct monthly and annual inventory reconciliations and cycle counts.
  • Monitor WIP (Work in Progress) and ensure accurate costing of finished goods.
3. Variance Analysis & Reporting
  • Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances, and report root causes.
  • Prepare monthly cost reports and dashboards for management review.
  • Provide insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
4. Budgeting & Forecasting Support
  • Assist with annual budget preparation, cost projections, and performance monitoring.
  • Work with department heads to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
5. Compliance & Internal Controls
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and audit requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing cost-related schedules and documentation.
  • Maintain proper internal controls related to cost accounting and inventory management.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Liaise with production, procurement, warehouse, and finance teams for accurate cost and inventory data.
  • Support new product costing, feasibility studies, and pricing decisions.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in cost accounting, manufacturing accounting, or inventory costing.
  • Strong knowledge of costing methods, BOM structures, standard costing, and variance analysis.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent).
