Job summary

A law firm in Malaysia is seeking a legal associate to draft and negotiate various corporate and commercial agreements. The role requires a strong academic background in law and excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Ideal candidates will have 0-1 years of PQE and a keen interest in Telecommunications, Media & Technology law. Qualifications

• 0-1 years PQE required.

Job Description

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of corporate and commercial agreements.
• Provide legal advisory services to clients across various sectors, particularly in telecommunications, media, and technology.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions, submissions, and advisory papers.
• Assist in dispute resolution and litigation matters, including preparation of pleadings, cause papers, and court appearances.
• Support partners in managing client relationships and delivering high-quality legal solutions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 0-1 years PQE
• Solid academic background in Law (LL.B or equivalent).
• Experience or strong interest in Telecommunications, Media & Technology (TMT) law will be an added advantage.
• Strong drafting skills and attention to detail in contracts, agreements, and advisory documents.
• Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
• Proactive, analytical, team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
