Job Purpose

This role supports the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in driving the Group’s strategic growth initiatives. Responsibilities include investment evaluation, financial modeling, transaction execution, and group-level strategic planning. The position plays a key role in assessing new opportunities, optimizing capital allocation, and advancing the Group’s overall corporate development agenda.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Investment Appraisal

Assist the CFO in sourcing, assessing, and recommending investment opportunities within core and adjacent sectors.
Lead financial due diligence, feasibility assessments, and valuations for greenfield projects, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
Prepare investment memoranda and board documentation to support investment decisions.
Conduct post-investment reviews to evaluate performance against initial assumptions and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Build and maintain robust, multi-scenario financial models for proposed investments, strategic initiatives, and business planning.
Collaborate with operational and finance teams to validate key assumptions and ensure forecast accuracy.
Gather and analyze financial, economic, and industry data from public and internal sources.
Provide decision-making support through IRR, NPV, payback period, sensitivity, and break-even analyses.

Corporate Transaction Support

Support the CFO in executing corporate transactions such as M&A, joint ventures, and divestitures.
Coordinate due diligence processes across functional areas including finance, legal, tax, and commercial.
Engage with legal advisors, consultants, bankers, and other external stakeholders to support deal structuring and negotiations.
Oversee the preparation of term sheets, shareholder agreements, and board submissions.

Strategic Planning & Group-Level Support

Contribute to group-level strategic planning, financial reviews, and long‑term business planning.
Analyze macroeconomic indicators, industry trends, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decision‑making.
Assist in the development of capital allocation strategies and investment frameworks.
Track and report on strategic KPIs, performance dashboards, and investment‑related risk exposures.

Collaborate with the Finance team to assess funding requirements for new investments and transactions.
Support efforts to optimize the Group’s capital structure and manage financial risks, including interest rate and liquidity exposures.
Assist in formulating funding strategies, including internal capital allocation, equity financing, and debt structuring.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting

Prepare clear, insightful presentations and reports for senior management, the Board, investors, and regulators.
Coordinate with business unit leaders and functional heads to gather input for investment evaluations and strategic planning.
Assist in preparing investor relations materials and content for analyst briefings, as needed.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration. Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or an MBA (with a focus in Finance or Strategy) are preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a results‑driven and proactive attitude.
  • High standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal. Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
