Job summary

Fuku in Cyberjaya is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to support the delivery of large-scale data centre/mission-critical developments. You will manage the full spectrum of contractual and commercial activities, ensuring projects meet contractual obligations, commercial strategy, and risk protocols.

Key duties include administering contracts for high-value CSA/MEP packages, managing variations and claims, and supporting procurement and delivery teams across multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• Typical 10–15 years of experience in contract management within construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience administering contracts for large, complex developments, ideally including data centres or mission-critical facilities.
• Solid understanding of Contract law, administration, claims and risk management.
• Experience working with FIDIC, NEC, or similar contract forms.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Contract Administration & Governance across the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions.
• Manage variations, claims, and change orders; support negotiation with contractors and vendors.
• Support procurement activities including tender documentation and bid evaluations.
• Identify and manage contractual and commercial risks; ensure governance and compliance.

Hiring Contract Manager in Cyberjaya for data centre PMC. Manages contracts, claims & risk.

Job Summary

• -We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to support the delivery of large-scale data centre / mission-critical developments.
• -This role will manage the full spectrum of contractual and commercial activities, ensuring projects are delivered in line with contractual obligations, commercial strategy, and risk management protocols.
• -The successful candidate will play a key role in administering contracts, managing claims and variations, and supporting procurement and delivery teams across high-value CSA and MEP packages.

Key Responsibilities

1. Contract Administration & Governance

• -Manage and administer contracts across the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and conditions
• -Oversee contract documentation, including subcontracts, amendments, and change orders
• -Ensure adherence to contract frameworks (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, or bespoke client contracts)
• -Provide guidance to project teams on contractual obligations, rights, and risk exposure

2. Commercial & Claims Management

• -Lead the assessment and management of variations, claims, and disputes, particularly for MEP and specialist packages
• -Review contractor submissions including EOT (Extension of Time), cost claims, and change requests
• -Support negotiation and resolution of commercial issues with contractors and vendors
• -Maintain detailed records to support commercial positions and dispute avoidance

3. Procurement & Package Management

• -Support procurement activities including preparation of tender documentation, contract terms, and bid evaluations
• -Provide input on contract strategy for key packages such as:
• -Mechanical systems (HVAC, cooling infrastructure)
• -Electrical systems (MV/LV, UPS, generators)
• -Specialist data centre equipment and installations
• -Ensure contracts are aligned with project delivery strategies and timelines

4. Risk & Compliance Management

• -Identify and manage contractual and commercial risks across the project-Ensure all contractual processes meet internal governance and compliance standards
• -Support risk mitigation strategies through proactive contract management and issue resolution

5. Stakeholder Management

• -Act as a key point of contact for contractual matters between clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams
• -Work closely with project managers, cost managers, and engineering teams to ensure alignment
• -Facilitate effective communication and escalation of contractual issues when required

Qualifications

• -Degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• -Typically 10–15 years of experience in contract management within construction or infrastructure projects
• -Strong experience administering contracts for large, complex developments, ideally including data centres or mission-critical facilities
• -Solid understanding of: Contract law and administration, Claims and dispute resolution, Commercial risk management
