Job summary

A construction firm is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor located in Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will assist in tendering new projects, prepare monthly progress claims, and issue Letters of Award for Sub-Contract works. Responsibilities also include monitoring project costs and maintaining all related documentation. Candidates should have a relevant degree and 3 to 5 years of experience in the field. Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is required to communicate with a diverse client base.

• 3 to 5 years working experience in related field.
• Knowledge in preparing tender documents.

Responsibilities

Job description

Assist in tendering of new projects to prepare and getting the necessary information to complete comply the tender document requirements.

To prepare the monthly progress claims to main-cond, and follow until cert issuance.

Prepare and issue Letter of Award for Sub-Contract works

To prepare payment cert to sub-cond, and follow up until receive of invoice.

Monitor and review payment certificates, variation orders and cost estimate.

Attend and participate in site meeting and tender interviews when require

Monitor project cost, valuation for payment / variation orders.

To keep record / filling all progress claim, sub-cond payment cert, site memo, SI, DNF, correspondence and any other doc related to project.

To prepare and complete of final account.

Knowledge of preparing tender documents.

To prepare quotation when require and follow up on confirmation.

To undertake any new task assigned from time to time

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
• 3 to 5 years working experience in related field.

• Computer literate (MS Word, Excel and Outlook)
