Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Contract Executive (Quantity Surveyor) to support the company’s contract and project operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, administration, and management of project contracts, cost estimation, and payment matters to ensure projects are executed efficiently and within budget.
This role requires strong analytical and organizational skills, a good understanding of contract administration and cost control, and the ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in interior fit-out, furniture manufacturing, or woodcraft-related projects.
- Good knowledge of joinery, carpentry materials, finishing types, and hardware fittings.
- Familiar with contract management, tendering, cost estimation, and project documentation for customized furniture projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of AutoCount, CostX, or similar QS software is an advantage.
- Good command of English and Mandarin (spoken and written) to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
- A committed team player with high integrity, attention to detail, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tender documents, bills of quantities (BQ), quotations, and cost estimates for custom-made furniture and interior fit-out projects.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations (e.g., carpentry, finishing, hardware, and installation) and prepare price comparison summaries for management approval.
- Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders (VO), and final accounts accurately and on time.
- Verify and certify subcontractor claims, material usage, and site progress to ensure alignment with project records.
- Maintain proper documentation of contracts, correspondence, and payment records.
- Liaise with design, production, and project teams to ensure accurate cost tracking, efficient resource usage, and compliance with contractual terms.
- Assist in budget monitoring, cost control, and financial reporting for furniture and interior projects.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve contractual, cost, and payment issues.
- Support project closing activities, ensuring all final accounts and documentation are properly completed for audit and record purposes.
- Ensure all cost and contractual activities comply with company policies, project specifications, and statutory requirements.
