Job description
1. Contracts Management & Commercial Strategy

Develop, implement, and oversee the company’s commercial and contract management framework, policies, and procedures.

Lead and manage tender strategy, contract negotiations, drafting, review, and execution for construction and development projects.

Ensure contracts are aligned with legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements.

Identify and mitigate contractual, financial, and operational risks.

2. Cost & Budget Control

Oversee the preparation of Bill of Quantities (BQ), cost plans, cashflow forecasts, and detailed cost analysis.

Approve variations, claims, payments, and final accounts to ensure proper cost control.

Conduct commercial performance reviews to monitor budget adherence and financial outcomes.

Lead tender evaluation, recommendation, and award processes for consultants, contractors, suppliers, and vendors.

Establish procurement strategies to ensure competitive pricing, quality assurance, and timely delivery.

Ensure proper prequalification and performance assessments of subcontractors and suppliers.

4. Project Support & Contract Administration

Provide guidance and support to Project Directors, Site Teams, and QS teams on contract interpretation and dispute avoidance.

Manage claims preparation, extension of time (EOT) submissions, dispute resolutions, and arbitration/litigation matters.

Conduct periodic site and project reviews to monitor compliance, cost progress, and contractual issues.

Lead, mentor, and develop the Contracts & QS teams to strengthen commercial competency and professional standards.

Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships including consultants, contractors, legal advisors, and authorities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Professional accreditation (e.g., RISM, RICS) will be an added advantage.

Minimum 12–15 years progressive experience in contract management within construction and/or property development, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial or director‑level role.

Strong knowledge of contract forms (PAM, FIDIC, JKR, Design & Build, etc.).

Proven track record in major building and/or infrastructure project delivery.

Excellent negotiation, analytical, financial, and strategic planning skills.

Strong leadership with capability to influence and drive outcomes.
