Job Description

This position reports directly to the Head, Consumer Lines. Responsible for driving the expansion of partnership distribution and business development with a key focus on new sales channels for the company.

Key Objective
  • Achieve agreed-upon performance and financial objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities and establish strategic partnerships with major players in industries such as automotive, banking, e-commerce, gig economy, and telecommunications, targeting partners with a substantial customer base for our consumer business.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Business Development
  • Develop and secure new automotive/bank partners/digital partners with sizeable customer base
  • Develop strategic pipeline management and lead pipeline management framework
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
  • Develop and explore new direct distribution channel such as digital, face‑face, mobile marketing, etc.
  • Develop new innovative and marketable products
  • Prepare financials and proposals for submission to prospects on new initiatives
  • Preparation of pre‑ & post‑marketing plans and conduct Profit and Loss Analysis for marketing campaigns to drive ROIs
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients
  • Operation & Database Management
  • Setting database segments, and criteria with partners to extract for any distribution activities purposes to achieve higher profitability
  • Develop creative concepts and contents approved by partners and all internal parties i.e. Claims, CS, UW, Legal, TM and other LOBs
  • Work with project manager to establish project timeline for end‑to‑end process
  • Ensure approved marketing fund spend within budget and achieve agreed profitability target
  • Liaising with key stakeholders, i.e. Underwriting, Customer Service/Operation, Telemarketing, IT and Partners for other initiatives on periodic basis i.e. daily billing, database management, script management, disputes/complaints, product positioning and campaign management.
  • Others
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and insights that inform business development efforts
  • Communicate on market trends and competition
  • Manage partners’ compliance related matters
  • Any other duties as assigned by Management

Experience
  • Tertiary education with minimum 10 years working experience
  • Insurance industry and/or direct marketing, digital or retail industry background will be an added advantage
